This website has been setup with a manufacturer, importer or distributor in mind.

The shopping cart is hidden by a password. You can also choose to make the shopping cart public with RRP or no prices, and just have special pricing for authorised users if you like. Shopping pages make great SEO pages, but not when they're hidden.

Once a customer registers, you will get a notification email. If you are using the password protected option, then you will need to login to the CMS, search for the member by their email address, change their access level to "authorised user" then send them a password reminder email.

There is an option for member group pricing, eg where certain customer groups get special pricing if they login. You can change a members pricing group by searching for the member in our CMS and changing it on the member record. Then in the pricing area for a product (under the pricing tab) you can enter all the different pricing options. Note, if the normal price for a product is less than the member price, then they will only pay the normal price. So this works effectively for mixing retail with trade pricing. It also means you can add new products at retail prices, and then determine trade prices later.

As a trade priced shop, you may wish to show all prices GST/VAT exclusive, by entering a GST/VAT  rate on the tax and currencies page. If you do enter a GST rate, then note that both exclusive and inclusive prices will be shown on all pages. We suggest for most retail stores, and some trade stores that they leave the GST rate as 0, and just comment somewhere in the footer that all prices are tax inclusive.
